    What Ive been playing:
    Halo 4

    From NQR 15:
That was one of the greatest shows ever. Listened to the podcast in 2 days, had too much work to complete so I didnt comment…damn.

    From show 15:
    GOTY Should be:
    Black Ops 2, Halo 4, Mass Effect 3, & Assassins Creed 3.
I have no Idea what the hell those people are thinking. I agree with chase, you have these big budget games that have worlds of replay value & the select Journey?…thats an insult to the industry!
    My game of the Yera:
    Halo 4…for MANY reasons.

    Killzone 1:
It was terrible 9 years ago or so. An HD remake cant make that game better.

I mentioned on in the comment section on another podcast that UBI Soft was going to have problems making Rainbow Six:Patriots on the PS3 as good as R6:Vegas2 on the 360 because the RAM isnt unified. Now they arent making the game for the current Gen Systems at all. They made a HORRIBLE Ghost Recon:Future Soldier (the worst in GR History) and they know it. UBI doesnt want to do that again.

    On Collectors editions:
Halo, COD, & Gears are the only games that can command $150 for a game & sell 400,000+ units. Thats what Halo, COD, & Gears did each time. I will forever buy collectors editions for Halo & Gears, also COD as long as my son plays the hell out of it & continues making the honor roll!

No, Halo 4 didnt have lackluster sales overseas. Halo 4 sold in the top 5 in the history of game sales over there. We (the US market) sell 2/3rds of the video game market. US is also, the largest buying market in the world by far!

One day I will really go into this topic but right it is just too much to type in order to get you to understand the pros and cons of Unified Ram. But for now, I’ll touch on my point about the Halo 4 sales. I still haven’t played it. Hopefully I will get a copy for Christmas, but I will play it at some point. I’m really looking forward to it because I have heard nothing but positive things about it.

However I still stand by my comment about the lackluster sales of Halo 4 overseas. In Europe it sold 1.17 million copies, not bad but definitely not stellar given the nearly 23 million 360’s in Europe. In Japan it only sold 40,000 copies, POOR sales in that region and saying “hey its Japan, they aren’t really big on FPS’s” is a cop out argument. As for the rest of the market, Halo 4 rounded up 500,000 copies sold. The US market is hungry for the Halo franchise and Halo 4 is no different with almost 4 million copies sold. Combined Halo has racked up just over 5.5 million copies sold on a month. It’s definitely impressive, but my point still is that the overseas market for Halo isn’t as strong as it is in North America and the sales figures support that. It doesn’t make it a crappy game or anything it just means that either Microsoft isn’t good at putting together an overseas promotion campaign for their games or their focus is to grow the US market over all others.

And Halo 4 isn’t in the Top 5 of all time game sales in Europe, in fact according to Halo 3 is the closest to the Top 5 coming in at number 59. Nintendo games dominate the top 15 with 13 entries, only Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas and Gran Turismo 4 were able to break into Nintendo monopoly.

What i’ve been playing: Blops2,Killzone HD remake.
Question for Draven; i have never played any of the Far Cry series but i like first person shooters. Assuming you have purchased and played Far Cry 3 by now could you give a review on the next podcast? With my baby boy growing fast money is tight so it would be really helpful to hear yours or anybody else’s thoughts on the game(excluding Chase of course) i’m keen to buy it but its not cheap. As usual great show and keep up the good stuff.
