What Ive been playing:
Halo 4 – Spartan Ops Episode 6, released Monday
I dont like to hear that about Atari. I was 10 years old in 1978 when my mom bought me an Atari 2600 for $400 at Sears in the Southlake Mall. Combat the greatest military game of “All Times”!

I hear ya there! Atari is a staple of gaming history for a lot of us old school gamers, so hopefully they can bounce back. The 2600, Intellivision and C64 were my goto means of entertainment back then. I’ll never forget the endless hours playing Combat and Indy 500 on the 2600.
My brother had the C64 and I use to play that. But the kid down the street from had a intellivision and I use to go over to his house to play it.

What I’ve been Playing: NBA 2K13, Madden 13, I beat Bioshock 2 since the last show, and some demos.
I thought Sly was good, but not great. Metal Gear Rising…toow! toow! Haven’t got around to Dead Space 3.
Another great show…
What did ya think of Bioshock 2? For lots of people it seems to be a love it or leave it type game? Did ya try the MP?
I thought bioshock 2 was a really good game. great if u have ps plus and got it 4 free. the mp…couldn’t even get a match.
Yeah, I’m not surprised that you can’t find a game in the multiplayer section of Bioshock 2. I played it when it came out and it was actually pretty fun and as a result I ended up spenting a few weeks with it. But, like most MP sections of games, they tend to die down as people go back to their preferred MP games of choice, IE Call of Duty, Halo and Battlefield.
I liked the Sly demo but I felt that he moved a little bit slow but I had fun playing it.
i enjoyed it as well but i felt that the hacking mini-game w/ the turtle-guy was a little gimmicky.
Since the show I’ve played both the Dead Space 3 and Sly Cooper demo, and immensely enjoyed both of them. Sly Cooper was a joy and looked fantastic. Can’t wait to play it. Dead Space 3 was also good playing alone, though all of the scare attempts were unfortunately cheap and dumb. The surprisingly deep weapon crafting system is very cool.

Metal Gear Rising Demo – I like it, but different… Not a Day 1 purchase. Guys, you can slice people. I did a basic combo(square), then I went into blade mode with the finishing move (circle). It take a moment to grasp the controls, especially parry. The moves were limited in the demo. I hope their more combo moves in the retail ver. The game reminds me of Afro Samurai game (2009). I forgot that Exodus is the only fan of fighting/combat games, lol!
I am a fan of fighters but i am not very good at them and need a lot of practice. I will get me ass handed to me when I do play them but I wont spend a bunch of money on them.
Now playing:
Spartan Ops Episode 7
Gears of War 1 – Co-op with daughter, its the only 1 she hasn’t beaten
Metal Gear Rising Demo
Metal Gear Demo, it was ok. I’m with T-Cal on this one, not a day 1 game but the demo was ok.
Metal Gear Demo made me want to play Ninja Gaiden, Ninja Gaiden Black, or Ninja Gaiden 2 on the 360. I almost started a game but I want to beat all the Gears games before Gears of War: Judgement.
@Draven71,
Yes!, go to consoles back then:
Don’t forget the Odyssey and Colecovision. Our block was full of kids, we had all of the systems at someones house. We’d go to each others houses & play games all day. Back then we couldnt ask for multiple consoles, we had 1 per home. However, every home had an Atari, Colecovision, Intellivision, and 2 kids had a Commodore 64.
I tell my kids, the Atari is why I dont like Minecraft, it looks like Atari 2600 Football!!!
Bioshock 2:
I thought it was good, worthy of a purchase. However, not as good as Bioshock 1.
I wanted a Colecovision so bad!!! I wanted Donkey Kong in my home and was so pissed when I didn’t get one for Christmas. However the Vic-20 and C-64 came along shortly there after and I was hooked. I learned to program Basic on those computers, that created my foundation of programming knowledge. But like you, our neighborhood was basically the same, between all of us kids we had access to all of the platforms that were out. We would figure out whose parents weren’t home and go to their house and play our hearts out. Ah, good times!
